Appendix A. The distribution of Persian fallow deer home ranges according to the average topographical slope and the ranking assigned to each.
The mean slope in each home range of the 17 females in their second year in the wild were calculated and categorized into range classes (in categories of 4º). Each range then received a score (rank) from 110 based on the preferences of the 17 females in the wild in the second year. Specifically, the range into which most of the 17 home ranges were categorized received a score/rank of “10”, the range with the subsequent frequency received a lower score/rank and so on. Categories >6 and 2226, the “edges of the distribution” - with no home ranges in them, received a low score as a “confidence interval”.
