Andrea Sundermann, Stefan Stoll, and Peter Haase. 2011. River restoration success depends on the species pool of the immediate surroundings. Ecological Applications 21:1962–1971.

Appendix B (TABLE B1) Landuse in the catchments of restored river sections given in percentages. The re-colonization potential within the three rings of 0–5, 5–10, and 10–15 km around the restored sites was not correlated with the coverage of different land use categories, that is artificial surfaces, arable land and permanent crops, pastures and heterogenous agricultural areas, and forest and semi-natural areas (Spearman Rank Correlations, all with R > 0.34 and P < 0.11).
