Appendix A. A figure showing species composition of bumble bee visitors to Mimulus ringens and Lobelia siphilitica in the experimental arrays.

FIG. A1. Species composition of bumble bee (Bombus) visitors to Mimulus ringens and Lobelia siphilitica in the experimental arrays. Values shown are proportion of plant visits over three days. Total N for Mimulus in the pure species treatment = 263 plant visits, for Mimulus in the mixed-species treatment = 212, and for Lobelia in the mixed-species treatment = 151. Bombus griseocollis only visited a single plant (in the pure species treatment) during our observation of pollinators. Since this visit represented < 1% of the visits to Mimulus in the pure species treatment, the bar for this bee species is not visible on the histogram.
