These stations have a similar seasonality and the common denominator is a strong influence from the Mississippi River. Lower panel: Results for the Mississippi River (black circles), cluster 2 (Barataria (gray diamonds) and cluster 2 in Breton Sound (white diamonds). These mid-estuarine stations in Barataria Basin and Breton Sound are not strongly influenced by the Mississippi River, and diverge in PO15N values especially during summer and fall months.
