Adult Dicymbe corymbosa individuals at the edge of the monodominant forest were randomly chosen within a hectare of transitional forest. Three transects were chosen to be oriented towards the mixed forest (such as the bottom transect in this figure) and three transects were chosen to be oriented towards the monodominant forest (such as the top transect in this figure). Although is a figurative representation of a transition zone, the spatial scale of the transition between forest types occurs within 50 m. |
