Appendix B. A table showing the proportion organic matter of suspended sediment, by dry mass, for streams from different periods.

TABLE B1. The proportion organic matter of suspended sediment, by dry mass, for streams from different periods. Proportion organic matter was determined by ashing filters in muffle furnace at 500°C for 1 hour and comparing that mass to the previously measured dry mass. In streams with salmon, “During” represent samples collected during the time period when salmon were present. In streams without salmon, “During” represents samples collected in August.
