Appendix B. Diffuse non-interceptance values (DIFN) for each of the eight treatment combinations the year after implementing all treatments. Diffuse non-interceptance values were obtained for each plot using an LAI 2000 canopy analyzer between June and August 2000 and 2001. We recorded eight evenly spaced light measurements in each plot at one meter off the ground and used a second sensor to record above-canopy measurements in a nearby, large clearing.
